Annual Museum Volunteer Training
September 19, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
FreeMonday, September 19th || 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. ||
The Aiken County Historical Museum is in need of new volunteers!
Join our team at Aiken’s only Winter Colony home open to the public, at our annual Volunteer Training. The day will feature instruction on volunteer duties and the basics of the Museum’s policies by Site and Events Manager Leah Walker, and a talk by the Museums’ Executive Director, Lauren Virgo, on the inner workings of the Museum and how volunteers play a key role in helping the Museum meet its daily mission.
We are always on the lookout for volunteers with a passion for history, interacting with the public, or even data entry! From working with school groups, helping out in the Museum Store, to assembling a shelving unit, we welcome new allies to our site. There is always something to do at the Museum, and we have a project for every interest, be it carpentry or research.
For more information about Volunteer Training, or to RSVP, contact Leah Walker at the Aiken County Historical Museum at 803.642.2015 or email lwalker@aikencountysc.gov.
