Youth Mixed-Media & Drawing w/ Jessica Hardy | Ages 5-12 | 4P Studios

This class will be an art adventure! Students will continue to learn about Value, Texture, Line Quality, and Mark Making while combining COLOR and SHAPE as we make our own unique pieces of art. Draw, Paint, CREATE!

(Class supplies will be on site but students are welcome to bring in their own favorite materials if desired.)

Intro to Drawing for Youth | KROC Center

Date: September 11, 2021 | Time: 10am-12pm | Location: KROC Center Senior Lounge | Ages: 7-15

Your student will learn the basics of drawing techniques, styles, tools, and more. Each class will focus on a different theme, such as figure drawing or scenery. No previous experience required, and all supplies will be provided.

While there is a prepared lesson, children are free to draw and practice other styles to broaden their drawing skills. Any questions students have on drawing will be answered and can be expanded on. Pre-registration required two days prior to start of class.

Manga Crafting Class- Illustrating the Imagination | Artist Guild of Columbia County

Dates: Thursdays Listed Below | Time: 4 – 5:30pm | Location: Evans Library Cafe Area | Cost: $25 Registration + $25 per class | Ages: 10 – 17

Draw and develop your own illustration style while diving into creating your own manga inspired graphic novel. Learn to use ones love of manga to create the foundations for your own graphic novels and even learn how to collaborate with others on their projects. In this class, students will be able to learn how to use a variety of materials, experiment with format, write scripts and form a process to find the best way to illustrate their own graphic novel stories.

Students who have previously taken the class in another offering can learn additional techniques and fine tune old skills to add complexity and life to their projects.

All students and teachers will be asked to ware a mask during the class.

Urban Sketching with Marissa Evans | Aiken Center for the Arts

Urban sketching is the act of drawing while on location in areas you live in or travel to. It has become a popular art form recently and is a relaxing way to capture the world around you.

In this class, you’ll venture outside of the art center with a few basic supplies while learning how to document what you see in a fast and fun way.

Basic drawing and watercolor skills are encouraged for this class.
