Painting for Peace & Joy | Artist Guild of Columbia County

Dates: Wednesdays Listed Below | Time: 2 – 3:30pm | Location: Evans Library Cafe Area | Cost: $20 Registration + $20 per class + $10 Supply fee (one time) | Age Groups: Adults, Seniors & Veterans

Learn to paint from Atlanta based artist Barbra Dickerson. She has taught painting for over 24 years in and around Atlanta but is now offering these classes to the Augusta area. She has shown along the east coast form Gloucester, Ma. to Miami Fl.and then as far west as St. Louis Mi.

She is very proficient in color mixing to create a mood in her paintings and how to capture accurate depth perception based on color intensity.

This class is for you if you are seeking the techniques to gain confidence in color, light and composition for your painting style.

All painting abilities are welcome from beginners, novice and experienced.

These classes can be for acrylic or oil paints because she has the experience to teach both. She helps each person to realize their talent.

All students and teachers will be asked to wear a mask during the class.

Acrylic Paint Class for Youth | KROC Center

Date: November 20, 2021 | Time: 1-3pm | Location: The KROC Center Caye Chapel | Ages: 10-15

Beginner to intermediate students will learn the basics and some techniques for using acrylic paint. Each class will explore the technique of acrylic painting, a featured artist, practicing painting skills, and more.

While there is a prepared lesson for each class, children are free to paint and practice other styles to broaden their painting skills. All supplies will be provided. Any questions students have on painting will be answered.

Pre-registration required two days prior to the start of class.

Teen Mixed Media Class | Artist Guild of Columbia County

Dates: Tuesdays (Listed Below) | Time: 4 – 5:30pm | Cost: $60 Registration + $25 per class | Location: Evans Library (Cafe Area) | Ages 12 – 17

Learn how to expand your love of art by working in different art mediums. This class will offer instruction in drawing, painting, collage or ceramic sculpture. Students who began the class during a previous offering may continue taking the class but will be taught additional advanced techniques in their chosen media, which they can apply to the skills already learned.

All students and teachers will be asked to ware a mask during the class.

Paint Workshop | Artist Guild of Columbia County

Dates: August 22-23 |Times: 9am – 4pm | Location: Lilburn, GA | Price: $285

Barbara Dickerson, now a member of the Artist Guild of Columbia County, will be teaching a workshop on color mixing in preparation to painting. She has taught painting for over 24 years in and around Atlanta. She has shown along the east coast form Gloucester, Ma. to Miami Fl. and then as far west as St. Louis, Mi.

This is a two-day workshop, August 22 & 23 (Sunday & Monday) on in-depth color mixing.

It will be held at a student’s house who lives in a beautiful farm in Lilburn (part of metro Atlanta). Lovely area to do some Plein Aire painting or photos for the next painting.

Attendees will have the option to drive to and from this workshop each day or stay nearby in a hotel/motel. Lodging is not included in the workshop price.
