Aiken Center for the Arts Summer Art Camp

Aiken Center for the Arts offer an excellent selection of fun and enriching classes in many of the arts disciplines. Ages 4 through high school will enjoy these fun camps.

Camps run on consecutive days for a week. Pre-registration is required for all camps. Taught by experienced art professionals, and designed to provide individual attention and feedback, our camps are sure to educate and inspire artists of all ages. All supplies are included unless otherwise noted in the camp description.

Needle Felting with Marissa Evans | Aiken Center for the Arts

Learn the basic techniques of needle felting while working with wool roving in this beach-themed workshop.

In a very short time, you will get amazing results! Felting is easy, fun and relaxing.

All skill levels welcome! Supplies are included. Please bring a lunch. (30-minute break)

Floral Pastel with Nanette Langner | Aiken Center for the Arts

This class will be an introduction to working in soft pastels. Learn how to use soft pastels on pastel paper.

No previous experience is necessary! This workshop is open to individuals of all skill levels.

Please bring a lunch as there will be a 30-minute lunch break.

Urban Sketching with Marissa Evans | Aiken Center for the Arts

Urban sketching is the act of drawing while on location in areas you live in or travel to. It has become a popular art form recently and is a relaxing way to capture the world around you.

In this class, you’ll venture outside of the art center with a few basic supplies while learning how to document what you see in a fast and fun way.

Basic drawing and watercolor skills are encouraged for this class.

A Literal Blast! Let’s Brunch | Aiken Center for the Arts

A Literal Blast will be held live and in person at
Aiken Center for the Arts this summer. Join us
for two fun gatherings as we get to
know Belinda Smith-Sullivan! The author
of Just Peachy, has a new cookbook called
Let’s Brunch.

On July 20 we will explore the
new cookbook while getting tips and tricks
from the author. Belinda will even bring a
recipe or two for you to try the first week!
After exploring the co, aokbook, each student
will choose a recipe to make and share with
the class on July 27. During brunch, we will
be able to taste multiple recipes, ask questions
and discover new favorites!
