Fondant 101 (Adult Class)

Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 | 6 PM – 8 PM | The Sweet Suite Bakeshop (Grovetown)

Fondant provides a pristine cover for cake creations and a clean canvas to display cake decorating skills. In this class, our shop owner will take you step by step through the process of rolling out fondant and covering cakes.

You will also learn a few simple fondant decor techniques. Learn to color and flavor fondant as well. Each student will cover and decorate a 5inch cake with embellishments to take home at the end of class. **All materials are provided.

Ages: 14 and up
Cost: $60 per student

*Registration is required for this event. Seating for this class is limited. A seat is reserved once payment is secured. A 100% refund, less a $20 service fee, will be given if the refund is asked no later than 7 days before the class. No refunds will be issued otherwise, unless the class is canceled by The Sweet Suite Bakeshop. In this event, 100% of the class cost and fees will be refunded. You are also welcome to transfer a class spot to a friend or family member.

Springtime Clay Workshop (All Ages)

Saturday, May 4th, 2019 | 12 PM – 1:30 PM | The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art

Spring is in the air! Students will make spring themed clay fun from our instructor recommendations or small creations of their own choosing with instructional guidance – whatever your imagination comes up with! After a day of creating, students will come back in the next week and hand paint these items with glazes of their choice to make one of a kind artwork.

Youth ages 5+ and adults are all welcomed to register. Ask about family group discounts!

There is room for all and fun for all!

Classes at Wild Hare Pottery (Adult)

Tuesdays | 8 Weeks | 2 Class Times | April 2nd – May 21st, 2019 | Wild Hare Pottery

Wild Hare Pottery will begin a new session of classes on April 2nd!

These pottery classes are for folks with all levels of experience, including zero! Both handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques are taught by David Stuart who has taught for over 40 years. Classes are conducted in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Stoneware decorating, glazing and firing methods will be covered. The last class includes a Raku firing.

The day class meets from 10:30 AM  to 12:30 PM and the evening class meets from 7 PM  to 9 PM, both lasting for 8 Tuesdays.
The cost is $120+$25 /25 lbs of clay. All levels of experience are welcome!
