Thursdays | Feb 2, March 5, 12, 19, & 26 | 6:30 PM – 9 PM | The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art
Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Renoir all painted from live models. This class provides a great opportunity for you to do the same. The live costumed models will challenge and test your artistic skills. You’ll learn the essential elements that go into a successful painting. Emphasis will be given to the development of the figure in a composition. You will discover why any successful painting is a result of the organization of a visual language; line, form, medium and the student. Students may work in the medium of their choice (watercolor, acrylic, or oil).
