Local cartoonist and educator Jacob Boland teaches how to construct comic art using a combination of narrative detail, non-linear storytelling, panel layout, and traditional drafting tools. Elevate your storytelling ability by deliberate posing and linework. Discover how comics can be used for autobiographical journals and therapeutic communication. Take in an assortment of historical and contemporary examples of comic art from industry giants such as Harvey Kurtzman (Mad Magazine), Charles Schulz (Peanuts), Matt Groening (The Simpsons), and more. Learn how to print your comics and publish them online. Supplies included in tuition.

New Projects will be introduced for returning students.
