Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Michael Reibel earliest recollection of creating art was at age five during a summer art camp. He continued through grade school and received numerous scholastic art awards. Turning his attention to the future, he pursued a CPA degree at Bellarmine College in Louisville. In 2004, Michael began taking art classes again and over the next six years, sought out the best instructors in the country. In 2010, he decided to pursue art full time. Now living in Seabrook, SC, Michael is inspired by the clean light and abundant sunshine and the opportunity to paint year-round. The majority of his work is of the southern landscape, however he also enjoys still life and figurative work. His work has been accepted in numerous juried national exhibitions.
