Augusta Sculpture Trail Activation Concerts: Vonda Darr

Vonda Darr, harpist for the Augusta Symphony, will perform on Saturday, Nov. 13th at noon in the park at the intersection of 8th & Broad (in front of the Imperial Theatre). This event is part of the Augusta Sculpture Trail activation series and highlights, in particular, the “Forever Young / MAESTRO” sculpture pair by Larry Schueckler. This event is free and open to the public.
With over 30 years of experience, harpist Vonda Darr has provided beautiful music to audiences around the country. Beginning in 1977 with the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony in Minneapolis, Vonda has played in multiple orchestras, including her current positions as principal harpist for the Symphony Orchestra Augusta and second harpist for the North Carolina Symphony. Adding variety to her repertoire, Vonda has played with celebrities like LeAnn Rimes, Olivia Newton-John, Amy Grant, Wynonna Judd, Art Garfunkel, Doc Severinson, The Four Tops, America, Don McLean, and Marvin Hamlisch.
