The Augusta Players is a nonprofit community theatre. We have been in the entertainment business since 1945 and we know how to teach your kids to have fun onstage! Join in the fun at the Augusta Players Summer Theatre Camp! Each camp is a two?week program for children ages 6 to teen. During these camps, emphasis is placed on learning the craft of theatre to include what goes on backstage as well as onstage. Each group has classes in music, dance and most important—ACTING! The two-week session culminates on the final afternoon in a showcase where our students will present a program of prepared scenes, readings and musical numbers.

Augusta Players Musical Theatre Summer Camp (Session 1)

An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, repeating until June 14, 2019
Monday June 3- Friday, June 14
Session 1 will be held at a St. John United Methodist Church, 736 Greene St. Augusta, GA 30901.
Monday June 17 — Friday, June 28.
Session 2 will be held at The Church of The Good Shepherd 2230 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.
There will be a showcase performance at 1:00pm on the final day of each session at Evans High School. A camp t-shirt is included in the fee.
The fee for each session is $295.00
Master Class: $325.00
Family discount: 2 children – $250 each, 3 children – $225 each (Please call to apply these discount prices)
LEVEL 1—Ages 6-8 (or K — 2 nd grade)
LEVEL 2—Ages 9-11 (or 3th — 5th grade)
LEVEL 3—Ages 12-16 (or 6 th — 11th grade)
MASTER CLASS-Ages 9 and up.
MASTER CLASS (very limited class size)
The Master Class level is for those students who have had prior community theatre or high school theatre experience. Those who have had parts in our own Jr. Players or Mainstage productions will have first choice for slots in this category. For anyone else to be considered for the Master Class, a theatrical bio must be included with the registration form. This year our Master Class will include scene study and monologue intensives. All Master Class participants must bring a prepared monologue and a 32 bar audition from a musical theater show.
All sessions begin at 9:30 am and end at 2:30 pm, Monday-Friday only. Campers will need to bring a sack lunch and a snack.
Class sizes are limited so please get your forms in early. Pre-registration is required in order for your child to receive a t-shirt.
