The AU Writing Project will welcome nine new, nationally known, award-winning authors to its Spring 2021 series of virtual author talks! Join us by registering HERE. Free and open to both the AU community and members of the National Writing Project.
Author Alicia D. Williams will join the AU College of Education on Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. Williams is the author of “Genesis Begins Again,” which received a Newbery and Kirkus Prize honors, was a William C. Morris Award finalist, and for which she won the Coretta Scott King – John Steptoe Award for New Talent.
A graduate of the MFA program at Hamline University, and an oral storyteller in the African American tradition, she is also a teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina.
