Beginning January 12 and continuing
through February 11, in recognition of Black
History Month, we are presenting the works
of a number of area artists of color.

We urge you to visit this show which will feature an
amazing range of works from folk art to
digital paintings, sculpture, stained glass and
photography by these very talented artists:

At the reception, Dr. Walter Curry will
hold a book signing for his historical
work The Awakening.

Display about Palmetto Pond, a local venue
on the “Chitlin’ Circuit” during the 1930s
and 40s, where black entertainers, barred
from white establishments, could play to
black audiences during the Jim Crow era.
