About the exhibition:
This is 4P Studios and Satire’s third showcasing of area local graffiti artists works of art in a gallery setting. Among paintings and drawings you will find works inspired by graffiti culture.
A note from the one of the artists, Jon Paschal:
“Our medium is Graffiti. It can be found on the side of buildings, on an overpass, on a train car or on more traditional surfaces such as paper, canvas and in the digital world. For us it’s a way to learn and explore new ways to reshape letters and objects into something new or outrageous. It’s a gateway into expression through vivid colors, creativity and various techniques. At its core, Graffiti is here to interrupt your every day lives through artwork.
Our work is heavily influence by previous artists in the many graffiti scenes around the world. We use music and the desire to be seen or heard to shape our styles and chosen areas of display. This collection doesn’t just take the art from the streets; it also curates it from multimedia sources and from the creative minds of artists often overlooked. It will allow viewers the chance to see the chaos and organization of simple and complex works of art without having to scour the city.”
