Speaking Shakespeare – Othello

Monday, September 19, 6:00 p.m. Othello – Acts I and II.

Monday, October 17, 6:00 p.m. Othello – Act III. (review of Acts I and II at 5:00 p.m.)

Monday, November 21, 6:00 p.m. Othello – Acts IV and V. (review of Acts I, II, and III at 5:00 p.m.)

Speaking Shakespeare is your chance to read and hear Shakespeare. Whether you are familiar with Shakespeare or this is your first time, come and help us to bring these marvelous plays to life.

Each night we will read a section of the play out loud, and then explore it more deeply through discussion, watching clips, or best of all, for those who are brave, getting on our feet and acting out scenes. There is no expectation of acting talent. Just the desire to have fun, and learn with us. If you miss a session, don’t worry, you can come to the next one. We will even have a “catch up” session an hour before the second two readings.
