Savannah’s Women Artists

Drawn from the Morris Museum’s permanent collection, the works in the present exhibition highlight the critical role played by women artists in the artistic life of the city during this period. The exhibition showcases the work of such artists as Emma Cheves Wilkins, Hattie Saussy, Myrtle Jones, Margaret A. Murphy, Mary Hope Cabaniss, Andrée Ruellan, and Augusta Oelschig—all of them influential teachers as well as practicing artists.

CREATE WITH ME: FOAMY ABSTRACTION
Tour the Morris Museum’s abstraction gallery. Afterwards, squish, squirt, and squelch shaving foam and paint,
to create colorful marbleized artworks. Family members and parents, free; nonmembers, $5 per participant.

ARTRAGEOUS! FAMILY SUNDAY: IT’S PANORAMIC!
Paint an eight-foot panoramic landscape and tour The View from Here, an exhibition featuring work by John
Cleaveland, Julyan Davis, and Philip Juras. FREE.

Enjoy lunch, conversation, and a presentation by artist Arless Day, who will discuss his work currently on
view in the exhibition The Spirit of Collage Paintings: Works by Arless Day. Members, $12; nonmembers, $16.
