Historic Beech Island Tour

The society’s 16th Annual Historic Beech Island Tour will feature 13 historic and interesting places to visit. Among them will be the beautifully restored Bowers-Galphin home of Dr. Charles G. Larke. Built in 1833 by plantation owner David Bowers and completed by his son Benjamin, this three-story house was home to the Bowers Family and three generations of the Galphin Family, including Dr. Milledge Galphin.

Tickets can be purchased are the day of the tour at the Beech Island History & Visitors Center at 144 Old Jackson Highway for $25 for adults and $20 for seniors and at advance ticket locations for $20 and $15 in advance. Children under 18 are free.
