Book Talk with Travis Holloway

Join the Georgia Heritage Room of the Augusta Library for a book talk and signing with local author. Mr. Travis Holloway is discussing his latest book, Down By The River. Mr. Holloway is a local writer who began researching Black history in Augusta following an inspiring high school history class. He now works for Augusta-Richmond County Government and spends his free time researching and writing about the events that shaped and continue to inform Black history in Augusta. In 1999, he began publishing Heritage, a newsletter exploring Augusta’s African American history. Mr. Holloway’s first book Down by the River, is a culmination of his many years of dedicated research. This event will take place in the Georgia Room on the third floor of the Headquarters Library at 823 Telfair Street. Books will be on-hand to purchase.
