An Afternoon with Poet Jimmy Broccoli
January 7, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
FreeSaturday, January 7th || 2 – 3 p.m. || Applebby Branch Library
Poet Jimmy Broccoli will be reading selections from his poetry collections, “Damaged” & “Rabbits” and will be available for a meet-and-greet afterwards. Jimmy’s poetry collections and his anthologies (“Spotlight” and “Encore”) have all enjoyed time on the best-seller lists (for categories: American Poetry, Contemporary Poetry, & Poetry Anthologies) on Amazon in both the United States and in the United Kingdom.
Jimmy’s narrative poems (Jimmy is a storyteller) are often intense, raw, & dark – to include the topics of grief/loss/mourning, depression, anxiety and other and mental health issues, death and dying, domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, loneliness, isolation, prostitution, and puppies (yes, he writes about puppies also!).
