Mixed Media Art covers the usage and application of a variety of materials. This session will cover chalk pastels and other “dry” mediums. This class will consist of an introduction to different methods of working with chalk pastels and other “dry” mediums, such as graphite and colored pencil. Students will enjoy art fun as they sharpen their skills and make one-of-a-kind art pieces. We will also learn about the history and cultivation/manufacturing of chalk pastel as well as its place in art history and the artists known for using it in their work. Let’s practice our skills while we have some art fun.
