The Grass Harp (1995)
This comedy-drama, based on the novella by Truman Capote, stars Piper Laurie, Sissy Spacek, Walter Matthau and Nell Carter as the eccentrics who populate a small Alabama town as well as the life of Collin Fenwick (Edward Furlong), a youth who is sent there to live with his maiden aunts.

To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
Based on Harper Lee’s 1960 Pulitzer Prize–winning novel, this masterpiece of popular film-making stars  Gregory Peck in an Acandemy award–winning role as Atticus Finch, as well as Mary Badham and Philip Alford as his children, Scout and Jem.
