Tuesday, June 19th | 6:30 PM – 9 PM

Hello filmmakers of the Southeast! It’s that time again for us to gather around the proverbial campfire and talk about what we all love to do- make movies.

This month we have a special treat- filmmaker and all around good guy James Williams III is going to discuss the art and craft of directing. He’s worked on tons of cool projects large and small, and his wisdom will surely educate and inspire.

Essentials to Being an Effective Director
This class is designed as a discussion with visual examples to explain the broad strokes of effectively directing film.

Topics include:

  • Project Development
  • Understanding the Team (Cast and Crew)
  • Communicating your Vision (Decision Making, Working with Actors, Composition and the language of film)

This is one that you surely won’t want to miss, so, well, don’t! We start with some meet-and-mingle time at 6:30 and we’ll launch into the program at 7:00.
